From the Fens to Westminster

Description

This is the story of Hilda Clarke nee Roberts, a young girl growing up between the wars, discovering that her eyesight was much impaired, in comparison to most people.

The story tells of her determination to lead a full life, mastering many secretarial skills and moving to London for work, hence the title from the Fens to Westminster. It also tells of her adult life which, although being scattered with many unfortunate events, has had many highlights and has made her the confident lady that she is today.
