Aircraft made in Lincoln
£4.95
Description
During WWI Lincoln became one of the largest aircraft production centres in the world. This book, with the aid of many previously unpublished photographs, describes the work of four city engineering firms; Ruston Proctor & Co, Robey & Co Ltd, Clayton & Shuttleworth Ltd and A V Roe Co Ltd.
This book is intended as a memorial to the men and women engaged in aircraft work in Lincoln in the two World Wars. The names of the great engineering companies of these pages have all disappeared but the spirit of past glories live on.
