Included in this issue: The case of the Ebony Horse, Ruth B Bottigheimer traces the history of the familiar Magic horse in Arabian Nights tradition; the story of By Fynnon Ddu, set in the 11th century in an imaginary part of the Welsh marshes by Katherine Langrish, a well-known author of children’s fantasy novels such as the Troll Trilogy and Dark Angels and Maria Nikolajeva’s study of the well known fairytale The Frog King in “Iron is stronger than Grief but Love is stronger than Iron”.
