Description
Following almost 300 years of the history of The Lincolnshire Regiment (the Tenth Foot), raised by the parliament of King James II, along with ten other regiments of infantry to put down the rebellion of the Duke of Monmouth (the illegitimate son of Charles I) in 1685. This book outlines the Regiment’s story and contains over 400 remarkable pictures from many different sources.
Over the years thousands of young men from Lincolnshire served – and many died – with the regiment in all corners of the world, until it finally lost its identity when it merged with the Northampton Regiment in 1960.
Now in its fourth print (2013) due to continuing high demand.
