£0.00
Description
This (fifth) edition not only celebrates the 65th birthday of the Lancaster but also the astounding news, announced in the local media on 19th February 2010 of the Panton’s intention to restore this particular Lanc to ‘flying condition’.
This book covers the NX611 activities from 1945 to 2010, Austin Motor’s – Lancaster Production Line, the role they played in the French Service, the preserved sister of NX611 (WU15) and the history of the Merlin engines. The same T.24/2 engines that brought it safely back Noumea to Britain (via Australia) in 64/65, supplied from Rolls Royce, Derby in 1957 are running the Lancaster today
