If you are good with your hands, have an eye for detail and fancy a career change, you could have what it takes to help keep our historic buildings looking their best.
Lincolnshire County Council and Lincoln Cathedral are offering two heritage skills bursaries in lead work. Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the successful candidates will undergo an 18-month full time training placement based at Lincoln Cathedral, helping them develop a wide range of specialist skills.
You need to be over 18 and already have some experience in construction, roofing, art and design or engineering. They are looking for someone with the potential to become expert craftspeople and who are committed to pursuing a career in the heritage sector in the UK. If you think you fit the bill please contact Amanda Davey for further information or an application pack.
HURRY though the closing date is 22nd September 2012
