A little late information for anyone who knew Robert Dixon or might want to contact him after reading his book - General Duties.
I have just been made aware of his passing on 9th June 2010.
His passion was flying and he was lucky enough to command two squadrons:- 92 Squadron which took on the role of the RAF acrobatic team "The Blue Diamonds" and 58 PR Squadron. He also enjoyed three tours as Air or defence Attache in Finland, Sweden and Japan.
In retirement, he kept busy with lobster fishing, golf, travelling, entertaining and gardening.
