This collection is a very moving testament to the soldiers who were directly, and very intimately, involved in the War in Burma.
Much of this poetry was written at the time although some was written in later years. There are also several pieces, not less moving nor significant, written by mothers, sweethearts, wives and one by a granddaughter. This is soldiers' writing poetry, not poets writing about soldiers.
