There are few aircraft that inspire such devotion and emotion as the powerful and awesome Avro Lancaster, Veteran of World War II. The special privilege to see and even touch one of those wonderful machines is only possible because of the determination of two Panton brothers to fulfil their dream of owning such an aircraft. It took them years but finally in 1983 NX611 came to the hangar they had made ready on the East Kirkby airfield (once home to 57 and 630 squadrons) and they have built a world renown museum around her.
